polina Polina Proutskova _vocals

www.proutskova.de Born and raised in St. Petersburg (Russia), Polina has lived in Germany since 1993. Parallel to her studies in mathematics she trained and performed as a singer.
  Polina has been intensively involved with Russian folklore music for many years. She has undertaken field research trips to various regions of Russia and researched in musical archives worldwide.  
  In Berlin Polina has made a name for herself as a folklore music singer. She  founded Germany’s first ensemble for authentic Russian folklore music: “Polýnushka” www.polynushka.de.
She was also a co-founder of “Sepharad” – an ensemble performing oriental Jewish music and literature www.sepharad.de. She is a part of “Four Corners” – a performing research group dealing in the culture of old Kuzhebar. She has worked together with instrumentalists in many different styles, and with DJs. 
    At the same time she is working on a worldwide music heritage database, and is a member of “Forum 440“ – an interdisciplinary scientist platform for music media theory www.forum440.de.

Andrey Glebov _ fretless bass, arrangements

was born in St. Petersburg in 1971. He has been living in Berlin since 1997. He attended Musorgsky College of Music and Hochschule der Künste Berlin (HdK) as a student in classical guitar. He played with many folk and jazz bands. Wrote music for film and television.
Now performs on stage in Germany and Russia. Among others he is an invited musician at Deutsches Theater Berlin. In 2001 he meets Polina and
eto_x is born with Andrey doing much of the repertoir selection and track mixing. eto_x has performed at Berlin Carnival of Cultures, Berlin International Filmfestival "Berlinale", International FilmFestival Cottbus and many other events.

Nikolaus Neuser _trumpet, laptop

born in 1972. Studied at Folkwang-Hochschule Essen with Uli Beckerhoff. Participated in many festivals with such artist as Jiggs Whigham, Benny Bailey, Gunter Hampel, Bill Ramsey, John Taylor, Silke Eberhard and so forth. He toured all over Europe and in Vietnam, China, Marocco and Lebanon. Nikolaus was invited to teach at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Bogotá and so he lived there in 2005. He has participated in the recording of several CD albums including trondheym “trondheym”, pinx “pinx”, Seeed "Music Monks", Sandra Weckert "Bar Jazz", Carnival of Souls "Ritorno a Casa" and many others.

Philipp Bernhardt _drums, percussion

born in 1972. Studied in the jazz program at Folkwangschule Essen and the City College of New York where he lived for the last five years. He has also studied under Thomas Alkier, John Riley, James Haddad, Ganesh Kumar and Adam Nussbaum. In the past, Philipp has performed with such artists as Ron Carter, Marc Ribot, Rich Perry, Chris Dahigren, John Pattitucci and as special guest with the Faculty Ensemble of the City College of New York and the leader of the Philipp Bernhardt Quartett of Seoul (South Korea).
He has participated in the recording of several CD albums including Parello´s "Homemade Parachutes", "Dan Carillo Sextett" and Jane Synstelien´s "staring into the sun orchestra".
Currently Philipp is residing in Berlin where he performs with Sandra Hempel Quartett and Andrey Glebov´s eto_x.
